FAQ
I’ve never been to an in-person service at KingsGate before, what should I expect?
We can’t wait to welcome you this Easter! The first thing to know is that you can come as you are – there’s no need to wear anything special if you don’t want to and you don’t need to bring anything specific with you.
We recommend aiming to arrive 15 minutes before the published service start time as this will allow you some time to get into the building and orient yourself. As you enter, our Welcome Team will be the first to greet you. They’re stationed near the main doors and are there to ensure you have a great experience. They can provide information about the church and answer any questions you might have.
You’ll have time to check in children upon arrival if necessary, and find your seat before the service begins. Speaking of finding your seat, some seats may be reserved for some of our teams, but other than those you’re welcome to sit anywhere you like and wherever you’ll feel most comfortable.
But I’m not a Christian – is it okay for me to come to the services?
Absolutely! Our Easter services are open to everyone, regardless of what you believe or your background. We would LOVE you to join us. There’s no pressure to participate in anything you don’t want to engage with – just come as you are and enjoy the service. We look forward to welcoming you!
What is a KingsGate service like?
Our services last for about an hour and a quarter. We start with worship, which involves singing modern, uplifting songs led by talented singers and musicians. The lyrics are displayed on screen, so you can sing along if you’d like to. After this, there’s a warm welcome followed by a creative presentation of the Easter story, and a message to help us understand how the Easter story means we can have real hope today. We then take a few moments for personal reflective prayer before serving free refreshments after the service.
We believe God loves to meet with us during our services and people often describe our services as very moving, but whether you feel anything or not, we hope you’ll really enjoy your time with us and that you’ll stay around afterwards to meet some of our team – they love getting to meet people who are new to KingsGate, so be sure to go and say hi to them!

Is there car parking?
Yes, we offer free parking at all KingsGate campuses. Our friendly Car Parking Team will greet you and guide you to a spot. If it’s your first visit, just let them know and they’ll help you get oriented!
Are in-person services fully accessible?
Absolutely! We welcome anyone with accessibility requirements and will endeavour to accommodate any needs you may have. If you are a Blue Badge Holder, please let our car parking team know when you arrive so we can ensure you have accessible parking.
Do I need to pre-book tickets for the in-person Easter services?
No, if you are planning to attend our in-person services in any location, you will not need to book tickets in advance.
You will, however, need to pre-register your children for KingsGate Kids in Cambridge and Leicester. For KingsGate Peterborough, places do not need to be pre-booked and are offered on a first come, first served basis on the day. Just make sure you’re registered on the KingsGate Hub before you get to our Peterborough campus (see FAQ about KingsGate Kids groups for more details).
